Role Overview
The Area Manager will be responsible for managing credit operations across a cluster of districts/villages, leading a team of Field Officers. The role focuses on loan sourcing, collections, and farmer engagement while maintaining strong relationships with dairy societies and ensuring portfolio quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan Sourcing & Business Development
- Achieve disbursement targets in coordination with dairy collection centers.
- Guide and support Field Officers in farmer onboarding, KYC, and loan applications.
- Ensure adherence to mooPay’s credit underwriting norms during sourcing.
- Collections & Portfolio Monitoring
- Ensure timely collections through daily tracking of Field Officers.
- Maintain high repayment discipline and control PAR levels within the area.
- Support resolution of overdue and delinquent accounts through field visits.
- Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate Field Officers.
- Conduct regular reviews, field joint visits, and provide on-ground support.
- Monitor productivity and ensure targets are met at FO level.
- Farmer & Dairy Engagement
- Build relationships with dairy societies, collection centers, and farmer groups.
- Organize farmer meetings, awareness campaigns, and grievance redressal sessions.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Track and report daily/weekly/monthly progress on disbursements and collections.
- Ensure compliance with mooPay’s operational policies, documentation, and partner guidelines.
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in microfinance, NBFC, agri-finance, or rural lending operations.
- Prior experience in managing field officers / loan officers is preferred.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills with ability to handle 10–20 field staff.
- Good communication in local/regional language(s); working knowledge of English is a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively across villages and dairy networks.
