Role Overview
The Operations Manager will lead mooPay’s core Credit, Payments, and Insurance operations from the Head Office. This role requires a strong operations leader who can manage cross-functional processes, streamline execution, and ensure smooth coordination with field teams, lenders, insurers, and tech. The Operations Manager will play a central role in ensuring portfolio quality, timely payments, and risk-mitigated insurance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit Operations
- Oversee end-to-end loan lifecycle: onboarding, disbursement, repayment tracking, and closure.
- Ensure adherence to credit policies, underwriting norms, and partner bank/NBFC requirements.
- Support Regional/Area Managers by resolving escalations and driving portfolio efficiency.
- Payments Operations
- Manage dairy-linked milk payment deduction and alternate repayment models.
- Ensure timely settlements, reconciliations, and reporting with dairies and lenders.
- Strengthen controls to reduce errors, delays, or revenue leakages in payment flows.
- Insurance Operations
- Lead end-to-end cattle and life insurance processes: policy issuance, premium collection, and claim settlement.
- Coordinate with insurers and field teams to ensure high coverage penetration and faster TAT.
- Monitor claim ratios, vendor SLAs, and maintain smooth resolution of farmer grievances.
- Process & Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team across Credit, Payments, and Insurance verticals.
- Standardize SOPs, build dashboards, and drive automation with tech support.
- Continuously improve efficiency, reduce TAT, and enhance farmer/partner experience.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure operational compliance with regulatory norms, partner requirements, and internal policies.
- Prepare MIS/reports for leadership, investors, and partner reviews.
- Support due diligence and audits by external stakeholders (banks, insurers, investors).
Qualifications
- 7–12 years of experience in operations within fintech, NBFC, banking, or insurance.
- Strong exposure to credit lifecycle management, payment systems, and insurance operations.
- Proven team leadership experience, preferably managing multi-functional ops teams.
- Analytical and process-driven mindset with proficiency in Excel, MIS, and dashboards.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across internal and external stakeholders.
