Role Overview
The Field Officer (FO) will be the face of mooPay in villages and dairy societies. Responsible for loan sourcing, farmer onboarding, KYC verification, and collections, the FO plays a critical role in expanding mooPay’s credit portfolio while ensuring portfolio quality. This is a field-intensive role, requiring strong community engagement and direct farmer interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Loan Sourcing & Onboarding
- Identify and source eligible dairy farmers for mooPay loans.
- Assist farmers in completing loan applications and required documentation.
- Verify farmer credentials: milk pouring history, cattle ownership, and repayment capacity.
- Collections & Repayments
- Ensure timely collection of dues through milk payment deductions or alternate modes.
- Conduct regular follow-ups for pre-due and overdue cases.
- Educate farmers on repayment discipline and build long-term trust.
- Farmer & Dairy Engagement
- Build strong relationships with village-level dairy societies and collection centers.
- Conduct farmer meetings to explain mooPay’s loan, insurance, and repayment processes.
- Act as the first point of contact for farmer queries and grievance redressal.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Submit daily updates on sourcing and collection activities to the Area Manager.
- Ensure accurate data entry and compliance with mooPay’s policies and partner norms.
- Maintain transparency and integrity in all farmer interactions.
Qualifications
- 1–4 years of experience in microfinance, rural lending, NBFC, agri-finance, or insurance sales (freshers from rural backgrounds with strong interest may also apply).
- Good communication skills in regional/local language (knowledge of English is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build farmer and community trust.
- Willingness to travel extensively within villages on a daily basis.
- Basic knowledge of smartphones, digital apps, and data entry.
